The Filipino man who almost designed the moon buggy for the Apollo missions, Eduardo San Juan was born on March 18, 1924 in Manila, Philippines to Elvira Victorina Carrion (1900-1994) and Francisco Luis San Juan Jr.

(1900-1953). He had two siblings, Jorge (1923-1923) and Francisco Adolfo San Juan Jr. (1934-1998), and one half sibling, Harold Stevens Wells (1941-1952).
